The project “Online Accessible E-Book for school-going children including children with disabilities”, supported by APNIC Foundation and implemented by Young Power in Social Action (YPSA), a Bangladeshi organization that has been implementing developmental work for four decades.
For an estimated 10-15% of the persons with disabilities population in Bangladesh, there has been a lack of accessible reading materials and inadequate learning resources. The proposed project aims to promote educational inclusion by developing and distributing accessible e-books to students including persons with all kinds of disabilities. Supporting the targets of SDG-4, the project will eliminate discrimination, achieve universal literacy and upgrade inclusion. So, an upgraded version of accessible reading materials & platforms for all school-going children including students with disabilities will be developed.
